Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with Gmail to Monday in under 5 minutes.

Installation

Install from Google Workspace Marketplace

Visit the Google Workspace Marketplace and search for "Gmail to Monday by Innova Apps". Click "Install" to add it to your Gmail.

Grant Permissions

Review and accept the permissions required for the add-on to read your email content and create Monday.com items on your behalf.

First-Time Setup

Open in Gmail

Open Gmail and select any email. Look for the Gmail to Monday icon in the right sidebar panel (you may need to click the "+" icon to expand add-ons).

Connect to Monday.com

Click "Connect to Monday" and authorize the add-on to access your Monday.com workspace. You'll be redirected to Monday.com to complete the OAuth authentication.

Select Your Workspace

If you have multiple Monday.com workspaces, select the one you want to use. Your selection will be remembered for future sessions.

Creating Your First Item

Open an Email

Open any email in Gmail that you want to convert into a Monday.com item. Click the Gmail to Monday icon in the sidebar.

Let AI Generate Content

Click "Generate with AI" to automatically create a name and description from your email content. Review and edit as needed.

Select Board & Group

Choose the destination Monday.com board and group where you want to create the item. Set any additional column values as needed.

Create Item

Click "Create Item" to submit. You'll see a success message with a direct link to your new Monday.com item.

💡 Pro Tip: The AI feature works best when emails have clear, descriptive content. For brief emails, you may want to manually enhance the generated description before creating the item.
